A Passion for Swimwear Cover-ups

My very favourite thing to do is going to the beach with family and friends. I’ve been doing it for years, in Cornwall in the UK, across Europe and now at home in Australia. Long summers in the ocean, on white sand, and under hot sun - sunburn was a part of summer.

My business began in 2012 as a simple solution for sun protection after experiencing the intensity of the Australian sun and identifying a lack of stylish rash-tops for women in the market. Having the necessary design skills and experience to develop products for this. But this quickly evolved into a business focused on designing swimwear cover-ups for mature and curvy women. This journey has gone together with my own journey as my body matured.  

Chatting with sisters and women friends, I could see how body changes, because of menopause and aging generally, were affecting so many of the women I love. It wasn’t that they disliked where they were going, it’s an honour to age, but it’s getting used to a rounded softer belly, a bigger bum and boobs that took some getting adjustment to. And as any woman knows finding the right outfits for your shape and age is particularly challenging when choosing swimwear where there is nowhere to hide!

With a passion for product design and fuelled by my own search to find the right swimwear for my changing shape, my range offers swimwear that has a bit more coverage; practical solutions that offer well designed styles for the mature body, with UVP50+, sustainability, and super high quality as a given. 

Since 2012 my mission has been to empower women to feel encouraged to get back to the beach, confident in their bathers all day long.
