We recently collaborated with Natalie Angel, let me try before you buy, who is an influencer who focuses on the 40plus audience who are a little curvier. Natalie wears our XL swim dress and rash top, which is equivalent to a size 16, and out large legging which is a size 14.
Natalie describers our product as Modesty Swimwear, which in many ways it is. It does help you cover-up, which is great for sun protection, but it also offers a solution if you don’t want to show your body on the beach the way you might have done when you were younger, then yes, our product is modest.
For many women self-consciousness about body image, their aging body, illnesses and super sensitivity to the sun can stop them going to the beach. In fact, with the issue of Swimsuit Anxiety, the number is quite alarming with a whopping 30% of women choosing to forgo the beach because they can’t face putting on a swimsuit.
If the word Modesty describes a state of self-consciousness, then the words chosen are spot on. Our mission is to design products that help women overcome their self-consciousness about their bodies, or their age, and get back to the beach to enjoy special moments with children or grandchildren, or friends, and just enjoying relaxing in nature.
